The Television Workshop
One part of the film industry is The Television Workshop they develop and train young actors for stage and film. The workshop was started in 1983 as Central Junior Television Workshop, they are now an independent organization, currently supported by the BBC and EM Media. In addition to providing training for hundreds of people, they also offer production and casting directors young acting talent for professional work as well as a resource for script development and research.
James Burrow, a workshop member landed the part of Jake on skins. Many other big parts are landed by television workshop members, The Television Workshop has earned the name of one of the best sources of young talent.
