Evaluation- Practice Film

In this scene I tried to make the scene as vivid and tragic as the real event was. The death itself intensified the romance this was done by creating a moment where their eyes met, this was done not only to add action and excitement but also to reinforce their romance. Also the way they die can be seen as erotic and passionate and they spasm out of control as if they were positioned at the climax of a sexual experience.
As well as sexual the death is of course tragic ad so after they are shot the bodies of the lifeless couple are aloud to roll which i thought would create a sort of shock factor. As the bodies roll the audience realize that the once notorious untouchable couple's luck ran out, this ended the movie well as it bought the romance, action and inevitability to a point. The combination of all those elements were put together to create a thrilling death scene.

Going out Haiku

Evaluation - Prior to filming this video I had struggled to find a unique idea, basically something I hadn't thought to do before. As I found myself running out of time I collected my thoughts and I had a burst of ideas and I picked this one. I chose to make it seem as if the audience was looking at the world through my eyes, and even though I hadn’t yet chosen the poem I was sure this is how I wanted to do it. Creating a video that is made from my point of view, being seen from my eyes, I had the urge to make it bitter. Choosing to make it lonely and dark and mysterious then gave me the idea to use not such a good camera I did this to allow the audience to fathom my thoughts in the video. Adding this dark effect was purely to make it more of an intimate video as past videos had been more about the world and nature and other things and people, I wanted to make this about me, but also add the dark theme as entertainment for the audience.

Treatment

Title: Going out
Producer and/or Director: Roger ware ( me )
Duration: 17 seconds
Audience:
My video will target people who like video that are structured around poems, also people who enjoy poetry and specifically haiku fans, poems with structure. The film is also for people who enjoy abstract videos.

What is it about?
My video is about a guy who feels like the world doesn't love him, the video begins just as he is walking out the door you never actually find out what happened before. He walks out the door and you watch his journey further away from his house.

Suggested Elements:

The beginning should grab the audiences attention as it is looking through a persons eyes and this is unusual. This video is abstract very out of the box at most people are accustom to seeing people on screen as a pose to watch a video through someone else's eyes, this is the key par of the video. As the video goes on the quality of the image gets worse and worse to represent the persons emotions.

Shooting Days:

I will only need one night to film this video as this is how i planned it out.

IDEAS

Filming the video through my eyes is a good idea as it helps connect me to the video, also the texture of the video could be good while somewhere warm then as i go further away from the house the quality of lighting and video could just be poor.

Another idea is  filming out of my bedroom window at different times of the day 24 hrs summarized basically. This idea might not work as the weather would have to differ dramatically from morning to afternoon, this is not always the case.

This lesson we haiku this consisted of 3 shots in a video the shots had to be
5 seconds, 7 seconds, 5 seconds.
in the lesson we used a flip cam and a tripod.
Before we did the video we can to pick a poem and express the poems through the video.

Poems -

It feels like a rose
on a string like a yo-yo
a ride at the fait i heard.

Shoelaces
must attack at once
didn't know that was you

The mighty hunter
returns with gifts of plump birds
your foot just crushed one.

Production log -- Video 4

I chose to do my fourth video on my friends and i at a studio I chose to repeat some of the shots as i wanted the video to last as long as the song that we had recorded during the studio session. I didn't know wether I would put this exact song behind the video but in the end i thought it suited the video well.
As for filming it didn't take long i  took many different shots but many were deleted during editing as the camera i used was of poor quality and some of the video were not up to standard.

Production log -- Video 4

In the next video i must create a one minute video about anyone in my community. This gives me a range of options and opens up new doors and ideas. I think i will take a camera to a studio session and record film what happens while we record a song, i will record equipment e.g the microphone, mixers, computers and speakers, I will also film some of the people that go to the studio.
